We have a tight relationship with our tomato manufacturers in Italy who sort, wash, crush, dice, peel and jar the tomatoes in a stunning 16th century factory. Because our tomatoes are organic and packed fresh, the jarring process needs to be quick. From the moment the tomatoes arrive to the facility to the time they’re added to the stack of jars, ready to ship, it’s only been a few hours. They are extremely talented at packing the tomatoes, and we love spending time with them while overseeing production. It doesn’t hurt that the factory smells like a huge, delicious pizzeria - sweet and intensely rich!

We are very proud to package our tomatoes in glass. Glass is pure and doesn’t contain linings with BPA or other plastics, so the packaging doesn’t effect the flavor of the tomatoes. Given that these organic tomatoes are coming straight from the fields, there’s no need to add salt, citric acid, calcium chloride, basil or any additives. When you pack ripe tomatoes so fresh, they are sweet and delicious on their own.
